Admins can choose which sections to set up and use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How It Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #bc6d1a; color: #ffffff;\">Program Setup &gt; Budget Tab<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four standard features available in the Budget tab. As an admin, you can choose which features to use and how you&#8217;d like to set them up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Section 1<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The first, smaller table has <strong>up to 10 line items<\/strong> and is great for capturing funding sources. The results of the comparison(s) are displayed to the reviewers and administrators in their version of the application, as well as in the application&#8217;s print preview or PDF versions.<\/p>\n<p>This feature is especially helpful if applicants are required to have a certain percent match, or if the totals of columns from the two tables need to match. The system can do the calculation for you and present the results to administrators and reviewers right there within the application.<\/p>\n<h4>Budget Narrative<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>This feature presents a paragraph-style text field to the applicants in which they can provide a narrative response, according to whatever instructions you provide.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Contract Budget<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">The Contract Budget feature is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zoomgrants.com\/welcome\/fsoverview.pdf\">Funding Sources<\/a> feature. Please <a href=\"mailto:adminquestions@zoomgrants.com\">contact us (adminquestions@zoomgrants.com)<\/a> more information about this feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h4>Budget Certification<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Administrative users can now enforce a digital authorization process to ensure applicants thoroughly complete and review the <b>Budget<\/b> section before submitting their applications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">1. <b>Customizable Authorization Statement<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><b><\/b>Administrators can create a custom statement to clarify what applicants agree to or confirm.<\/li>\n<li>When utilized, this statement appears at the bottom of the Budget tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Digital Signature Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must provide a digital signature in the designated fields at the bottom of the tabs.<\/li>\n<li>These fields must be signed before the sections can be marked \u201ccomplete.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Completion Validation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Check for Completion feature will block application submissions if the required digital signatures are missing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Set It Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #bc6d1a; color: #ffffff;\">Program Setup &gt; Settings Tab &gt; <em>Additional Program Modules<\/em> &gt;&gt; Budget Tab<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-tabs wp-block-hb-tabs\"><ul class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__nav\" role=\"tablist\"><li class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__head\" data-tab=\"tabs-0\" data-hb-tabs-tab--state=\"active\"><span class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__head_item\" for=\"tab0\">Settings Tab<\/span><\/li><li class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__head\" data-tab=\"tabs-1\" data-hb-tabs-tab--state=\"inactive\"><span class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__head_item\" for=\"tab1\">Budget Tab<\/span><\/li><\/ul><div id=\"tabs-0\" class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__content\" role=\"tabpanel\" data-hb-tabs-tab--state=\"active\"><p>Turn the Budget Module &#8216;On&#8217;<\/p><\/div><div id=\"tabs-1\" class=\"wp-block-hb-tabs__content\" role=\"tabpanel\" data-hb-tabs-tab--state=\"inactive\"><p> Give the tab a<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/help.zoomgrants.com\/index.php\/zgu\/tab-labels\/\">Tab Label<\/a> <\/strong>and<strong> provide instructions <\/strong>for your applicants. <br><br> Set up the features that you&#8217;d&nbsp;like to use (complete instructions below). <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon\"> Use the <a href=\"http:\/\/help.zoomgrants.com\/index.php\/zgu\/applicant-view\/\">Applicant View<\/a> to check your work. <\/p>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #bc6d1a; font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; letter-spacing: 0px;\">Sections 1 &amp; 2<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Decide whether you want applicants to be able to edit the Item Descriptions\/line items\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose &#8216;On&#8217; to allow your applicants to enter their own items and\/or edit those that you have entered as the defaults. <em>Applicants will be able to use up to 10 line items in the section 1 and up to 20 in section 2.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Choose &#8216;Off&#8217; to prevent your applicants from entering their own or editing those that you have set up. <em>Applicants will be limited to the line items that you have entered (up to 10 in section 1 and up to 20 in section 2).<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Provide Section Instructions.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Give the section a Title<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pre-populate line items (if applicable).<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0If you are allowing the items to be edited by the applicants, applicants will be presented with every line in the section, regardless of whether you enter a sample description. You can leave them all blank, if you want applicants to enter their own items.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not allowing the applicants to edit the items, only those lines with text in the Item Description fields will be presented. Applicants will not be able to use the additional lines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add Column Headers<\/strong> \u2013 Only columns with headers will be displayed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add Calculated Columns<\/strong> \u2013 Click the show\/hide link to add or edit your Calculated Columns. For <strong>admins <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>reviewers<\/strong>, calculated columns appear, in grey, alongside the applicant-provided data.     \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--info  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Calculated Columns are an Administrative Tool<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tThey are not accessible in the online application. The system will pull the\u00a0<strong>totals<\/strong> from those columns to use in the calculation.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoomgrants.com\/screenshots\/dbudgettotalcompcalc.png\" width=\"469\" height=\"194\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose the <strong>operator\u00a0<\/strong>to use in the comparison of the totals from each column.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type a description to explain what\u00a0the\u00a0calculation represents.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Budget Narrative<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zoomgrants.com\/screenshots\/dbudgetnarrative.png\" width=\"2432\" height=\"528\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Turn the Include Budget Narrative section &#8216;On&#8217;.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Enter your Budget Narrative\/Discussion instructions.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The character limit will be the same as the program default character limit, as set in the\u00a0<strong>Settings\u00a0<\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Budget Certification Text<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Expand the <strong>Certification Statement<\/strong> setting.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the text for the authorization statement that applicants should see.<\/li>\n<li>Entering text turns the feature on. If you <strong>do<\/strong> <strong>not <\/strong>want to use this feature, leave the field blank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-accordion wp-block-hb-accordion\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span>One of the budget tables isn&#8217;t showing up.<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">A section will show up as soon as it has a title and at least one column header. If a table is not appearing, verify that you have entered a title and set up one or more columns. If you&#8217;re not allowing applicants to edit the item descriptions, be sure that you have also entered at least one line item.<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span>Calculated Columns don&#8217;t appear for the applicants.<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">Calculated columns are presented to&nbsp;<strong>admins and reviewers<\/strong> in their version of the application. <strong>Applicants<\/strong> can see the calculated columns in the print preview or PDF versions of their applications.<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span>An applicant needs more line items.<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">Section 1 can have up to 10 lines. Section 2 can have up to 20 lines. If you&#8217;ve chosen to allow applicants to edit the line item descriptions, they&#8217;ll be able to have up to the maximum number of lines in each section. If you are not allowing applicants to edit the line items, they&#8217;ll be limited to the standard items that you have set up.
