Transferring Applications to Another Account

If necessary, our support team is happy to help move applications between accounts.

Do you represent multiple organizations?

Learn about how to use ZoomGrants on behalf of multiple organizations here.

There are a couple of ways that applications can be transferred within ZoomGrants:

Transferring Applications Between Existing Accounts

Moving Apps into an APPLICANT Account

Applications can easily be moved from one established applicant account to another established applicant account.

Our support team will need to receive an email to get that process started. That request should include:

  • The application ID number(s) of the application(s) to be transferred. You can find the five-digit application ID number at the bottom of any tab of that application.
  • The email address of the new account that should own the application(s).

And should come from:

  • The original application owner (from the email address associated with the account)
  • The executive director of your organization
  • The program admin with the organization that is using ZoomGrants to administer the program

That request and confirmation must be in an email sent to Questions[@]ZoomGrants.com from the email address of one of the folks listed above.

Once we get the request and proper confirmation, we’ll transfer the application(s)!

After the transfer is complete, the new user should be sure to log into their account, find the application(s) and ensure that the contact information in the first tab of the application is complete and correct.

Moving Apps into a COLLABORATOR Account

If the user who needs to own the application has a collaborator account, there are several questions to consider:

  1. Should the person who needs to own this application also own the other applications in our organization’s account?
  2. Does this person truly need to own this application, or do they simply need their access permissions updated?

Applications can only be moved from between applicant accounts, so an existing collaborator account will need to be changed to an applicant prior to the transfer.

Our support team will need to receive an email to get that process started. That request should include:

  • The application ID number(s) of the application(s) to be transferred. You can find the five-digit application ID number at the bottom of any tab of that application.
  • The email address of the new account that should own the application(s). This new account must already be set up. If you’ve invited the person as a collaborator, be sure that they have completed the account setup process.

Transferring Applications to a New Account

Our tech team is happy to help with this kind of request, too!
Start by inviting that user as a collaborator on the application in your account. Once they’ve received that invitation and set up their account, follow the steps above to submit the support request. Our tech folks will change the user’s account type from a collaborator account to an applicant account and transfer the applications.

After the transfer is complete, the new user should be sure to log into their account, find the application(s) and ensure that the contact information in the first tab of the application is complete and correct.
